Chris Trout (born 1966) is a British musician and writer
.
He has played in several Nottingham and Sheffield-based bands, including Kilgore Trout,〔Strong, Martin C. He is also notable for his music criticism, as a significant contributor to Ablaze! (fanzine) (1987-1993) which was founded by his then partner, Karren Ablaze!〔〔Ablaze, Karren(2009) ''Hey Zinesters! How fanzines empowered a generation ()〕 and also to left-field London-based music magazine, The Lizard (1993-1995); he currently writes for music website Drowned In Sound.
